The 2022 Hunan (Changsha) Cross-border E-commerce Trade Fair opened at the Hunan International Convention and Exhibition Center on July 22. Chen Wenhao, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, and Kang Zhenlin, vice mayor of Changsha and chairman of the Changsha Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended relevant activities.

In an area of 22,000 square meters, the fair has five exhibition areas including the cross-border e-commerce platform exhibition area. It attracted more than 400 well-known brands, including Jumia, eBay, Alibaba International and Amazon, and 20,000 professional visitors.

A government-enterprise conference on Changsha's cross-border e-commerce was held during the fair. Representatives of related provincial and municipal departments and cross-border e-commerce enterprises above designated size offered advice and suggestions on Changsha's innovative development and the building of a "third city of cross-border e-commerce" in an all-round way.

Changsha was included in the third batch of national comprehensive pilot zones for cross-border e-commerce in July 2018. Since then, the cumulative import and export volume of Changsha's cross-border e-commerce has reached more than 7.6 billion US dollars, with an average annual growth rate of 104% and ranking among the top cities in central and western China. This has injected strong momentum into the building of a hub of reform and opening up in inland regions.
