Hunan's Logistics Sector Remains Stable in H1

According to the data of the Development and Reform Commission of Hunan Province, Hunan's logistics sector saw a steadily growing demand and maintained steady operations in the first half of 2022. The total value of social logistics during the period rose 4.4% year on year to more than 6.4 trillion yuan. The total logistics revenue stood at 227.01 billion yuan, increasing by 4% over last year.

In terms of manufacturing logistics, the added value of high-tech manufacturing businesses over designated size increased by 29.3% and accounted for 13.4% of major industrial enterprises.

As for e-commerce logistics, Hunan's online retail sales hit 114.87 billion yuan, up 9.3% year on year. Among these, the online sales of physical commodities grew 12.8%. With a rapid development of online consumption, the courier sector boomed. Between January and June, Hunan had handled 1.03 billion parcels, a year-on-year increase of 21.4%. The courier service revenue amounted to 8.28 billion yuan, up 11.6%.

As for international logistics demand, 539 trains of the China-Europe freight train service were operated between January and June, carrying goods worth 1.47 billion US dollars. Among them, 518 trains were handled in Changsha, increasing by 40% year on year, and carrying goods worth 1.37 billion US dollars.

The Huaihua International Land Port had operated 52 trains for the China-Laos freight train service and the rail-sea transport service. The goods delivered via China-Laos freight trains and rail-sea transport service were 5902.3 tons and 53,284.3 tons respectively, showing obvious growth in both quantity and quality of freight train service.

The Chenglingji Port in Yueyang had handled 369,000 TEUs in that period, rising 20% year on year. Among them, 1.98 million tons of goods were for foreign trade, increasing by 9.3%.
