A conference on the provincial "Dewdrop Project +" employment promotion campaign, also an agreement signing ceremony, was held in Changsha on August 26. The campaign is an upgrade of the "Dewdrop Project", which was co-initiated by the Hunan Department of Rural Revitalization, Hunan Department of Education, and Hunan Department of Human Resources and Social Security.

The "Dewdrop Project" is a national campaign to support new laborers from impoverished rural families to receive vocational training. During the battle against poverty, more than 1.34 million people that fell below the current poverty line had been lifted out of poverty thanks to the project. As of the first half of this year, Hunan had provided 2.575 billion yuan of grants within the project, benefiting more than 1.66 million people. The entrepreneurship and employment capacity of new laborers from impoverished rural families has been greatly elevated.

The "Dewdrop Project +", as an upgrade of the existing "Dewdrop Project", includes a series of powerful measures to consolidate and expand the achievements made in poverty alleviation and cultivate talents for rural revitalization. It expands the range of assistance targets from the families that had been lifted out of poverty to those involved in the assistance mechanism to prevent people from slipping back into poverty.

This year, the three government bodies jointly issued a plan on implementing the Hunan provincial "Dewdrop Project +" employment promotion campaign. The plan focused on guiding the new laborers from the families that had been lifted out of poverty and those involved in the assistance mechanism to prevent people from slipping back into poverty, to receive trainings at secondary- and higher-vocational and technical schools, give play to the role of the labor intensive industries such as building, logistics, and electric power,  and promote employment of the graduates involved in the "Dewdrop Project". This will lead to the fact that when a man gets employed, his family achieve consolidation of the poverty alleviation achievements.
