he Hunan Museum reopens to the public on October 9.

After the reopening, the museum will still implement an online reservation system. Free regular explanation service will be resumed for the museum’s two permanent exhibitions, namely, The Mawangdui Han Dynasty Tombs in Changsha and the Hunanese -- Exhibition of Hunan History and Culture. Educational activities and multimedia equipment in exhibition halls will be available.

During the epidemic prevention and control period, the museum adopts real-name online reservation system. It limits visitors to 12,000 a day (including temporary exhibitions). Visitors are required to make a reservation via the museum’s official website, WeChat account and Alipay mini-program. Visitors need to show their reservation confirmation messages, valid identity certificates and negative nucleic acid test results within 72 hours, and scan a venue QR code before entering the museum. Those who do not wear a mask, do not make an appointment, or have symptoms such as fever (temperature ≥ 37.3°C ) or cough are not allowed to enter.

Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday; 9:00 -- 17:00 (last entry at 16:00).

The museum will be closed on Monday except statutory holidays.
