Rural libraries to open in Changsha

The photo, taken on November 29, shows librarians busy preparing for the opening of a rural library at Huanghe Village in Datuopu Neighborhood, Tianxin District, Changsha. The library was reconstructed from a farmhouse reading room. With a collection of 15,000 books, it is networked with the Changsha Library. Readers are allowed to borrow and return books at any branch libraries of the Changsha Library. So far, the first batch of four such rural libraries have been built in Tianxin District, and will open to the public in early December.
