On December 7, Hunan Overseas Chinese Federation and Hunan Academy of Chinese Medicine signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly promote the high-quality development of traditional Chinese medicine. According to the agreement, the two sides will base on their own advantages in traditional Chinese medicine resources, science, technology, and talents to promote the development and dissemination of traditional Chinese medicinein overseas regions, comprehensively improve the quality and level of traditional Chinese medicine's participation in the joint construction of the "The Belt and Road", and promote the industrialization, modernization, and internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine.

At the symposium, Hunan Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Development Corporation signed a contract with Laos Xiangfeng International Development Co., Ltd. Overseas Chinese from Laos, Cambodia, Germany, Canada, Russia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Solomon Islands and other countries and regions discussed and exchanged views on how to promote the spread of traditional Chinese medicine and the specific implementation projects of spread.

Sun Minsheng, Party Secretary and vice chairman of Hunan Overseas Chinese Federation, said that traditional Chinese medicine is a treasure of our nation, and promoting the overseas spread of traditional Chinese medicine is an unshirkable responsibility of Hunan Overseas Chinese Federation and Hunan Academy of Chinese Medicine. In the next stage, Hunan Overseas Chinese Federation and Hunan Academy of Chinese Medicine should jointly build a linkage mechanism, regularly arrange work plans, build a platform for the development of traditional Chinese medicine, and accurately formulate countermeasures based on the characteristics of different countries and regions, so as to jointly help the overseas spread of traditional Chinese medicine. Hunan Overseas Chinese Federation will give full play to the unique advantages of contact with overseas Chinese, strengthen external publicity, give play to the strength and wisdom of overseas Chinese, introduce effective resources, and promote the rapid development of traditional Chinese medicine in countries along the "The Belt and Road".

Ge Jinwen, Secretary of the Party committee and president of Hunan Academy of Chinese Medicine, said that to promote Chinese culture to go global, traditional Chinese medicine should take the lead. Hunan Academy of Chinese Medicine will make efforts in medical care and traditional Chinese medicine health care, planting and industrial development of traditional Chinese medicine, training of overseas Chinese talents learning traditional Chinese medicine, and overseas dissemination of Chinese medicine culture, establish special institutions, work with overseas Chinese Federation and overseas Chinese to promote the overseas localization of the Chinese medicine industry and the implementation of related projects, and help traditional Chinese medicineto go global.
