2023 Xiangjiang New Area Symphony Music Season Kicks off

In June this year, Hunan Xiangjiang New Area and Hunan University of Technology and Business strengthened their government-school co-building mode and organized a series of fine symphonic music activities. The opening concert featured famous songs from countries along the Belt and Road and was performed by artists from different regions. The audience were impressed by familiar melodies such as "In the Field of Hope", "Why are Flowers so Red", "The Evening of the Moscow Outskirts", "Liuyang River", and "Defending the Yellow River".

In recent years, Hunan Xiangjiang New Area has made great efforts to provide high-quality public cultural services and strengthened the cooperation between public cultural service institutions and university cultural teaching and research units.

The symphony music season is one of the concrete actions of Hunan Xiangjiang New Area to advance the building of a brand titled "Art and Culture of Xiangjiang New Area", explore a new model for government-school co-construction and development, and build an art practice and education platform for the integration, complementarity and sharing of universities and social resources.

Next, Hunan Xiangjiang New Area and Hunan University of Technology and Business will jointly build the Xiangjiang Symphony Orchestra. Eight music events in various forms including large-scale and small-scale symphony concerts, music master classes and music salons will be organized, in a bid to promote high art including symphony music into campuses, communities, and rural areas.
