The Dear Museum (Season 2) was launched at Changsha Museum recently, marking the start of the 100-day museum cultural activities. This year, a total of 52 cultural centers and museums participated.

The International Museum Day falls on May 18 annually, with its theme this year being "Museums, Sustainability and Wellbeing". Focusing on this theme, the activities fully leverage the overall resource advantages of museums in the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Metropolitan Area. Therefore, museums can become important forces in inspiring a better quality of life, promoting social well-being, and building a sustainable future.

The Dear Museum events include five main parts: limited issuance of museum passports; museum knowledge quizzes; museum check-ins to have the passports stamped; release of 100-day-event maps; and, museum-themed livestreaming. Additionally, the participating museums across Hunan are offering cultural and creative blind boxes that can be redeemed by visitors. Under the slogan "100 Days! Exciting Encounters at Museums," the events aim to showcase the allure and magnificence of the museums located in Changsha, Zhuzhou, and Xiangtan.

During the event, after participating in the online museum trivia competition through an H5 platform, people may have the chance to obtain the limited edition of pink museum passports and guide maps of 52 museums. The exhibitions scheduled for the summer vacation are incorporated into the passports and maps. People can visit the museums and have their passports stamped, and then receive a cultural and creative gift according to the number of stamps they collect.
