August 8 marks the 15th National Fitness Day in China. From simple traditional exercises to various trendy fitness activities, the concept of fitness has evolved greatly. Grassroots fitness competitions such as "Village BA" and " Village Super League" have sprung up across the province. Efforts have been made to expand access to sports venues, revitalize idle urban spaces, and establish 15-minute fitness circles. The idea of "Do exercise and be happy" has widely resonated, encouraging people to experience the vibrancy of both urban and rural areas through physical activity.

This year, Hunan plans to complete the construction of the main line of the 1,000-km Xiangxiang Fitness Trail, with a total footpath length of about 13,000 kilometers. It is planned to build four sports parks, no less than 850 fitness paths, and no less than 300 rural physical fitness projects in administrative villages. Furthermore, the private sector is encouraged to participate in the building of "smart community fitness centers", so as to inject new vitality into society.
