Hunan launches "Golden Bridge Action" to promote college student employment

The 2023 "Spring Breeze Campaign" and the "Golden Bridge Action" to promote employment of college graduates were officially launched in Changsha on the morning of February 11, 2023. It marked the prelude to a series of new consumption human resources special recruitment fairs in Changsha.

At the opening ceremony, the Communist Youth League of China (CYL) committees of Hunan University, Hunan Normal University, and other universities signed cooperation agreements with BYD, Wenheyou, Chayan Yuese, and other representative companies in the new consumption field. The contracted companies will serve as innovation, entrepreneurship, and employment promotion internship bases of the CYL Hunan Provincial Committee for college students, and university internship and training bases. They will provide targeted recruitment information on the employment support platform of the CYL Hunan Provincial Committee, and offer support for innovation, entrepreneurship, and employment practice activities of college students. There were over 200 new consumption-oriented companies providing more than 23,000 jobs vacancies via both online and offline channels, including 6 companies presenting job information via livestreaming.

The "Golden Bridge Action" is a priority strategy to promote the employment of college students. It is implemented by the CYL Hunan Provincial Committee, the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Hunan Province, and the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, and guided by the People's Government of Changsha City.

Relying on the "Digital Smart Hunan CYL" data system, it promotes the implementation of six CYL employment promotion plans such as the employment assistance plan for students of low-income households in general colleges and universities and the college students' voluntary service for China's "Go West" Program. It launches four employment service activities in new consumption industry, scientific and technological innovation, rural revitalization, and intelligent manufacturing.

It aims to establish an employment service chain offering employment idea guidance, socialization ability training, and job supply and matchmaking for college students; build a "golden bridge" between students and the society, universities and enterprises, and students and positions; lead young students to establish a correct view of career choice and employment; and, continuously improve their socialization ability and comprehensive employment capabilities, to help more than 10,000 college students provincewide get employed.
