On April 9, fishing enthusiasts competed in a contest at the Linxiang International Fishing Center, Yueyang City. The 2023 China (Linxiang) Buoy (Fishing Tackle) Cultural Festival opened on the same day. In recent years, Linxiang has been actively building itself into a featured town of buoys, through constructing sanwan production area, a fishing tackle trade town, and a fishing amusement area. It has formed a whole industrial chain integrating raw materials supply, buoy production, machinery manufacturing, painting and artwork, packaging and printing, and e-commerce logistics. There are more than 1,400 fishing buoy production and trade circulation enterprises in Linxiang, whose buoy products occupy more than 80% of the domestic market share, and are exported to European, American, Southeast Asian and other countries and regions.
