Hunan's cultural tourism market continued to heat up during this year's May Day holiday. The province's cultural tourism industry saw robust recovery. According to the latest data released by the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism on May 5, Hunan received 17.871 million tourist trips during the holiday, a surge of 114.61% from the same period last year and an increase of 36% from 2019. Among them, there were 8.066 million overnight stays and 9.805 million one-day tourist trips. Hunan's comprehensive tourism revenue reached 18.633 billion yuan during the holiday, up 111.95% from the same period last year and a rise of 35% from 2019.
