It is a flagship species for global biodiversity conservation. There are currently only about 1,864 pandas living in the wild. The giant panda's distinctive black-and-white fur contributes to its popularity as one of the world's favorite animals. The 10 giant pandas of difference ages have distinct personalities. The oldest giant panda, "Hualong", was born in 2007, while the youngest, "Yuanyuan", was born in 2020, and is currently three years old. Visitors have the chance to learn about the characteristics of different growth stages of pandas. Covering an area of 367 mu, the Chinese Giant Panda Garden is home to the largest number of pandas in central China. With a construction area of about 20,000 square meters, the garden is equipped with nine panda houses, a panda science museum, a panda hospital, a panda restaurant, a study tour workshop, administrative offices, ecological wetlands, ecological landscapes, and other supporting infrastructure. The park consists of bamboo forests, woodland areas, and water features, and adopts the state-of-the-art tunnel air precooling and preheating technology.
