The Zhangjiajie-West Kowloon direct high-speed railway was officially launched on June 15, 2024.

According to the operation schedule, the train G6079 sets off from Zhangjiajie West Station at 15:20 and arrives at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station at 21:50 after a 6.5-hour ride. The return train G6080 starts off from West Kowloon Station at 8:30 and reaches Zhangjiajie at 14:52, with a travel time of 6 hours and 22 minutes.

This direct rail route, connecting Zhangjiajie and Hong Kong's West Kowloon, will facilitate communication between the people of western Hunan and Hong Kong, injecting vitality into the two regions.
