Yueyang Delegation Visits Côte d'Ivoire

Xie Weijiang, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee, led a delegation to visit Côte d'Ivoire between June 20 and 22, 2024. He met with local politicians, witnessed projects commissioning ceremony, strengthened the friendship city exchanges, called on the Chinese Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire, and discussed with persons in charge of the Chinese-funded enterprises and member entrepreneurs of the Hunan Chamber of Commerce. The tour served to enhance people-to-people communication and foster economic and trade exchanges between China and Côte d'Ivoire, playing a leading role in building a pioneering zone for in-depth China-Africa economic and trade cooperation.

Xie Weijiang held a talk with Adama Coulibaly, minister of Economy and Finance of Cote d'Ivoire, and Dosso Adama, ambassador of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire to China.

Xie Weijiang attended and delivered a speech at the commissioning ceremony of the Third Rubber Plant of Mainland-Guansheng Joint Venture.

The delegation had a discussion with representatives of the Hunan Chamber of Commerce and Hunan enterprises in Côte d'Ivoire.

During his stay in Côte d'Ivoire, Xie Weijiang also called on Wu Jie, Chinese Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire, and conducted in-depth discussions on deepening exchanges and cooperation between Yueyang City, Hunan Province and Côte d'Ivoire in relevant fields. He also exchanged ideas on project cooperation and industrial investment in Côte d'Ivoire with Chen Guanfu, chairman of POWERCHINA International Group Limited, achieving important consensus.
