85 Mln Fish Fry Released Around Hunan

June 6 this year was observed in China as the 10th National Fish Releasing Day. Themed "protecting aquatic life, building a beautiful Hunan", a province-wide fish releasing campaign was launched at Orange Isle Park, Changsha on that day. A total of 85 million fish fry were released into waters in 65 counties, county-level cities, and districts across Hunan Province at the same time. The Hunan authority plans to release over 163 million fish fry into rivers, including over 25 million fish fry of widespread species, over 18 million of regional species, and over 28,000 rare and endangered species, to promote recovery of aquatic biodiversity.
