The 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China convened its third plenary session in Beijing from July 15 to 18, 2024.

“I do believe that China is going the right way,” said Thierry Laurent, chairman of the Climate Change Working Group, French Foreign Trade Advisors China Committee, in an exclusive interview with China News Network regarding the topics addressed at the third plenary session.

He pointed out that China has been rapidly developing the green energy industries, which is beneficial for China and the world.

Laurent also mentioned that China's economic development focuses more on quality rather than quantity and he also shared his understanding of "new quality productive forces". "It will improve the image of China around the world," he noted.
