The "Dreamy and Graceful" Symphony Night Concert was staged at the Xiangjiang Hall of the Changsha Concert Hall on the evening of July 7, as part of the 2024 Hunan Music Season.

The concert was planned by Wang Zhi, general Party branch secretary, head, and artistic director of the Changsha Symphony Orchestra, and directed by Fan Tao, music director of the Changsha Symphony Orchestra. It was performed by the Changsha Symphony Orchestra, with Chinese harpist Chen Yuying serving as a soloist.

In the first half of the concert, Berlioz's powerful but melodious Rakoczy March was played, followed by harpist Chen Yuying's two magnificent and clever masterpieces: Handel's Harp Concerto in B Flat Major and Debussy's Sacred Dance and Profane Dance.

In the second half of the concert, Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique was performed in a unique manner, diverging from the usual symphony structure. This "autobiographical" symphonic work provided an immersive experience for the audience.

The concert was hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and the Hunan Performing Arts Group; undertaken by the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio and Television and the Changsha Symphony Orchestra; and co-organized by the Changsha Concert Hall and the Changsha Binjiang Cultural Park Management Center.
