The inaugural event of Hunan Museum's "Mobile Museum" in Zhangjiajie was held at the Zhangjiajie Minzu Primary School on September 23. Hunan Museum's "Mobile Museum" is a mobile public welfare social education project that integrates display, teaching, and research. Under the guidance of Hunan Museum's education staff and volunteers, third, fourth, and fifth graders of the Zhangjiajie Minzu Primary School learned more knowledge about museums and about excavation and protection of cultural relics through pictures, captions, a close understanding of exhibits, and interactions. Special projects enable teachers and students to understand museums in an easier way. The activity themed "Han Dynasty culture promoted on campus" is part of the "museums visiting campus" demonstration project launched by the National Cultural Heritage Administration. The event provides an opportunity for children to dress in Hanfu, learn about etiquettes of the Han Dynsaty, and gain an understanding of Han Dynasty culture. Relying on Hunan Museum's basic and special exhibitions, the inter-museum exchanges project brings cultural relics back to life with digital technologies. The project helps students understand their history textbooks in a more vivid way. Hunan Museum's "Mobile Museum" will visit the High School Attached to Hunan Normal University- the Zhangjiajie Minzu Middle School, the Zhangjiajie Libin Primary School, the Zhangjiajie Chongshi Primary School North Campus, and the Dayongqiao Central School in the following days till September 27. This will offer a chance for teachers and students to explore a colorful world in museums. This article is from the Hunan Provincial Government www.enghunan.gov.cn.
