Air Travel to Handle 370,000 Passenger Trips During Spring Festival Travel Rush

As the annual Spring Festival travel rush kicked off on January 26, civil aviation sector would usher in a new round of peaks. During the travel rush period, it is predicted that the Air Travel will operate 2,702 flights, a year-on-year increase of 7 percent, and handle 370,000 passenger trips. Among the flights, 1,154 will depart from Hunan. The peak of departures is expected to occur on February 11th, while the peak of return trips is expected on February 16th.

According to the data of air ticket inquiry and booking, there has been an increase in demand for air travel towards northeast China and Yunnan. It is predicted that the popular flight routes during the Spring Festival travel rush will include: Kunming-Changsha-Harbin, Kunming-Wuxi-Changchun, Changsha-Yantai-Changbai Mountain, Changsha-Nantong-Harbin, and Nanjing-Baoshan, among others.

In order to meet the travel needs of passengers, the Air Travel will expand its routes from Changsha to more popular destinations such as Kunming, Wuxi, Harbin, and Baoshan. Meanwhile, it will increase flight frequency on the Kunming-Zhuhai route, and add new routes on Changsha-Tianjin, Changsha-Tengchong, and Wuxi-Hohhot-Hailar routes.

The Air Travel will launch several preferential activities during the Spring Festival travel rush period. Starting from January, travelers can apply for membership through the mini program of the Air Travel and get the chances to win generous gifts. Beyond that, it will offer exclusive discounts for the newly opened Wuxi-Hohhot-Hailar route.
