The Tan Xiaoping Painting and Calligraphy Art Exhibition opened at the Li Zijian Art Museum, Changsha on January 28. It showcases more than 220 paintings and calligraphy works created by artist Tan Xiaoping in recent years, involving gongbi painting (elaborate-style painting), xieyi painting (freehand brushwork), Dunhuang murals, xingshu (running script), kaishu (regular script), caoshu (cursive script), zhuanshu (seal script), and lishu (clerical script).
