Foreign Trade Booms in New Year

On the first working day of 2024, the ports and factories around Hunan Province were in full swing, showing a hustle-and-bustle scene of foreign trade.

On January 1, 40 containers carrying silica, motorcycle parts, and tea products were delivered to Nansha Port in Guangdong Province through the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal service. These goods have passed the customs clearance procedures in Zhuzhou via the Hunan-Guangdong All-in-One Port" service, and would be shipped directly unpon arrival at the port.

All these goods were locally produced, and are transported to the Greater Bay Area for export, said Peng Guangze, general manager of the Hunan Xiangyuefei International Logistics Co.,Ltd. It is estimated that about 4,000 TEUs will be delivered in January, and 42,000 TEUs for the whole year. 

On January 2 morning, the first batch of 38 parallel-import vehicles were unloaded after arriving at the Chenglingji Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Yueyang. These off-road vehicles were imported from the Middle East, with a total value of nearly 10 million CNY. The Yueyang Customs authority brought forward customs declaration of the vehicles, taking immediate actions to complete the inspection and clearance procedures. These vehicles will enter the market on January 3 morning.

On the first working day of the New Year, the Huaihua Hyliess New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. has completed an order for 200 residential energy-storage facilities, and will deliver them to the clients in Southeast Asia via the Huaihua International Land Port. Its first large-scale energy storage order of the New Year is on the schedule of production.

Huaihua has opened four international logistics channels, namely the Beibu Gulf Rail-sea intermodal service, and the railways linking to Laos, Vietnam, and Myanmar; and, 77 international and domestic transportation lines. Seventy percent of the cargos from the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor have been forwarded here to ASEAN countries. The construction of the Huaihua International Land Port Intelligent Cold-chain Digital Logistics Center is in full swing.

The Hunan Roldy Refrigeration Equipment Co., Ltd. is ready to deliver a batch of refrigerators worth over one million CNY to Columbia this month. In 2023, the company's export value exceeded six million CNY, with its products exported to eight countries including Vietnam, Indonesia, and India. In 2024, it aims to reach a foreign trade value of 10 million CNY.
