CZT Intercity Railway Passenger Trips Hit Record High

During the New Year's Day holiday between December 29, 2023 and January 1, 2024, the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan (CZT) Intercity Railway has handled 356,000 passenger trips in total. The daily passenger trips averaged 89,000, increasing by 287 percent compared with the 23,000 passenger trips during the same period of last year. On January 1, 2024, the railway has seen record passenger trips of 110,000.

The CZT Intercity Railway recorded 17.748 million passenger trips in 2023. The daily average figure reached 49,000 passenger trips, 19,000 more and 63.3 percent higher than the previous year. The year of 2023 featured the most passenger trips on record since the railway's opening to traffic.
