Changsha Holds Symposium for Hunan Entrepreneurs

Changsha held the 2024 Activity of "Welcoming Fellow Townsmen to Return to Hometowns and Build Hometowns" and a symposium for Hunan entrepreneurs on February 21 morning. Nearly 100 chairmen of Hunan's chambers of commerce at home and abroad and Hunan-born entrepreneurs expressed their sentiments about their hometowns, sought common development, and mapped out a blueprint for their hometowns' future.

Wu Guiying, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee; Zhou Haibing, vice governor of Hunan Province and mayor of Changsha City; and Zhang Jian, vice chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee and chairman of the Hunan Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended and delivered speeches.

Since 2015, Changsha has made all-out efforts to build the brand of "Welcoming Fellow Townsmen to Return to Hometowns and Build Hometowns". The brand has been growing in scale and its effect has been continuously enhanced. Over the past decade, more than 300 projects have been signed, with a contract value of 270 billion yuan. In 2023, returning Hunan entrepreneurs registered 154 enterprises in Changsha, with the paid-in investment totaling 104.4 billion yuan.

Zhou Haibing, vice governor of Hunan Province and mayor of Changsha City, delivered a speech.

Zhang Jian, vice chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee and chairman of the Hunan Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, delivered a speech.

Changsha's second batch of honorary ambassadors and investment consultants were announced at the symposium. Liu Zhonghua, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and principal of the Hunan Normal University, and Wu Yiqiang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and secretary of the CPC Committee of the Central South University of Forestry and Technology, spoke at the meeting as honorary ambassadors for investment promotion and talent introduction.

Municipal leaders Tan Yong, Wen Shuxun, Chen Gang, Peng Huasong, Luo Zuanji, Zhu Dongtie, Liu Hui, Zou Te, Xiao Zhengbo, and Kang Zhenlin attended.
