3rd International Summit on BDS Applications Opens in Zhuzhou

The third International Summit on BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) Applications was convened in Zhuzhou on October 24, 2024.

The third International Summit on BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) Applications opened in Zhuzhou on October 24, 2024.

Themed "One World BDS with You", the summit aligns with the national development strategies and focuses on applications of BDS from globalized perspectives. It is combined with the China Satellite Navigation Conference, aiming to set up a platform leading the industry and releasing updated policies, promoting international cooperation, facilitating exchange and sharing of cutting-edge technologies, and providing access to industrial integration and demonstration of outcomes application.

The summit consists of 15 events, namely, an exhibition hall tour, an opening ceremony with lectures by specially-invited speakers, six keynote forums, five academic symposiums, a scenario demonstration, and serial supporting activity.

A number of experts and industrial leaders gathered at the summit, including nine academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Chinese Academy of Sciences; over 1,300 distinguished guests from central enterprises and leading companies; 470 representatives from domestic universities, research institutions, and industrial associations; and, 85 foreign guests from such international organizations and countries as the African Union, Russia, Laos, South Korea, France, and Cote d'Ivoire.

There is an exhibition hall showcasing the image of Zhuzhou City and some creative products related to BDS. An indoor BDS application demonstration area covering about 12,000 sqm displays new technologies, new techniques, and new applications of BDS, giving the visitors an immersive experience of BDS applications in daily life.
