The first order of naturally ripened fresh Musang King durians from Malaysia, imported by Tmall Global via cross-border e-commerce, was delivered from the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area Airport Block (Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone) on December 12. This marked that the Tmall Global & ZTO Cross-border E-commerce Fresh Fruit (Changsha) Bonded Warehouse started operation and Tmall's first fresh food bonded warehouse in the country settled in the airport block.

Different from fresh fruits imported via general trade or frozen durians preserved in liquid nitrogen sold on various platforms in the past, this batch of durians were picked with shells from trees in Malaysia on December 9. From picking to international transportation, cross-border e-commerce declaration, and delivery via ZTO Express to consumers, the whole process only took 5 to 7 days. No additional processing is required to accelerate the ripening of durians, which can guarantee the quality of the fruit.

These imported durians have already been sold online in Tmall Global's Xibei Overseas Flagship Store, which is the first Tmall Global fresh fruit store focusing on normal cross-border e-commerce bonded imports. Changsha residents can taste authentic and fresh Malaysian durians within 24 hours at the earliest after placing an order.

In August and September this year, ZTO Express delivered trial orders of imported Thai and Malaysian fresh fruits directly from the Changsha Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone and Shanghai Qingpu Comprehensive Bonded Zone, pioneering the online shopping bonded import model (customs supervision code 1210) for fresh products.

After the entry of the goods, the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area Airport Block made all-out efforts to guarantee services in route operation, cold chain transportation, and loading and unloading process, and launched rapid customs clearance procedures for special goods.
