Changsha-Changde Expressway North Line Put into Operation

The Yiyang-Changde Expressway Expansion Project opened to traffic at 10:28 AM on December 26. It marked that the entire north line of National G5517 Changsha-Changde Expressway was officially put into operation, which will greatly relieve the traffic pressure of its parallel line—National G5513 Changsha-Zhangjiajie Expressway. The initiative will also help improve traffic conditions in northwestern Hunan and boost the high-quality development of regions in Yiyang and Changde along the line. The opening of the Changsha-Changde Expressway North Line is of great significance to implementing the strategy of large-scale development of the western region, maintaining transport capacity of the western passage linking Changsha and Chongqing, and strengthening economic and trade exchanges between western regions and eastern and central regions as well as inland provinces.
